ICC WTC 2025-2027 Updated Standings: New Zealand hammered West Indies by a resounding 323 runs in the third Test in Mount Maunganui to clinch the series win and improve their position on the ICC World Test Championship standings on Monday.

The Kiwis, featuring in the first series of the fresh 2025-27 cycle, ensured the two wins and a draw had propelled them past India and South Africa to the second spot. The 2-0 series win came on the back of a record-breaking performance by the New Zealand openers, Devon Conway and skipper Tom Latham. Conway became the first Kiwi batter to smash a double century and a century in the same Test while Latham cracked twin centuries, making the duo the first to achieve the feat in First-Class history.

On Sunday, Australia thrashed England by 82 runs in the 3rd t\Test to retain the Ashes with two matches to spare. England had already lost the first two matches at Perth and Brisbane and with another defeat at Adelaide, they went 0-3 down with their hopes to reclaim the urn up in smoke. Ben Stokes and Co are now staring at a very realistic possibility of getting whitewashed 5-0.

How the WTC table looks after New Zealand’s win

Australia have consolidated their position at the top without dropping any points and their win at Adelaide was their sixth straight win of the cycle, leaving them with a full 72 points and 100 PCT. Meanwhile, New Zealand have moved up with 28 points in 36 contested points, with a PCT of 77.78. Defending champions South Africa are third, having won three of their four Tests. They drew an away series against Pakistan 1–1 before sweeping India 2–0 in a two-match series back in November. With a PCT of 75, the Proteas sit ahead of third-placed New Zealand, who—along with Australia and Sri Lanka—remain unbeaten this cycle

After a poor home series defeat to South Africa, India have slipped to 6th place with a PCT of 48.15 across nine Tests. England, meanwhile, remain seventh after their fifth loss of the cycle. They now have 26 points from 8 Tests and a PCT of 27.08.

Bangladesh (16.67 PCT) and West Indies (4.76 PCT) round off the table at the 8th and 9th position.
