Thousands of files released by the US Justice Department related to investigation into deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have revealed that the disgraced financier routinely abused teenage girls and from 2002 to 2005 alone, Epstein “victimised” dozens of underage teens after luring them into sex acts, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors stated that Epstein relied on his employees and associates, including British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, in order to secure a “steady supply of minor victims”. The convicted sex offender recruited his victims to find other girls under the false pretext of providing massages, The Guardian reported.

Though the extent of Epstein’s crimes have been vastly documented, the files recently released by the justice department highlight how the disgraced financier and his associates had an assembly-line-like to recruit victims. The documents reportedly also revealed how girls and young women were being treated as commodities.

One of the files revealed how Maxwell, who has been imprisoned for 20 years for aiding Epstein’s crimes, accompanies three female students on a Palm Beach college campus in 2001. “Maxwell said she needed young, beautiful unmarried women to answer phones and do office work at her home on Palm Beach,” a police report claimed.

Notes taken by an FBI investigator during an interview in 2019 indicated that there seemed to be a crisis for Epstein as his alleged supply of girls was running low. A few points in the notes stated, “Cant just bring girls he doesn’t like”, “Told her to keep looking for girls”.

The interviewer highlighted that one of the witnesses recalled Epstein’s comments wherein he said, “you know what I like,” and “you know what I’m into.” The interview notes also stated, “Understood that to mean young petite underage.”

The documents have been revealed after the US Congress passed a legislation last month with overwhelming majority to release all files related to Epstein.
